ABOUT
Carlos H. Juica (b. 1977, Chile) is a freelance photographer currently based in Stavanger, Norway. His work bridges photojournalism and the visual arts, with a focus on culture, live performance, and political narratives.
He studied at the School of Photo Art of Chile and began his career as a press photographer for La Nación newspaper. In 2003, he moved to Mexico City, where he spent nearly two decades documenting the region’s cultural and social landscape. His photographs have been published in international outlets such as El País, and he has served as an official photographer for major cultural events including the Festival Internacional Cervantino and FICUNAM.
Carlos’s practice is defined by attentive observation and a deep engagement with the stories behind each image. Now based in Norway, he continues to explore new environments through a lens rooted in both documentary and artistic inquiry.
